Fairtrade Fortnight for a fair deal
Displaying a wide range of Fairtrade Foundation products for sale, Geddes Place URC joined in supporting Fairtrade Fortnight.
With the promotional weeks from 23 February to 8 March, as in previous years, our church worshippers, partners and visitors shopped at the stall for baking basics or sweet treats from the charity’s selection.
At the close of the fortnight, Revd Alison Davis ran a short film during the church service showing the life of a tea farmer in the Mount Mulanje area of southern Malawi , highlighting the business and community advances Fairtrade has helped small-scale farmers to extend in the region.
We’re right behind Fairtrade, and our support raised £260 for the foundation. If you’d like to sample some of their great coffee and delicious and ethically produced goods, check out our light and airy mezzanine coffee bar soon!
